If you were scrolling through the Valspar Championship leaderboard and felt like you saw a lot of guys with the name Kevin, well, you were right.

It turns out, the seven Kevins – including 18-hole leader Kevin Streelman – tied a PGA Tour record. It also turns out the PGA Tour keeps track of such things. That’s impressive in its own right.

After a few people pointed out all the Kevins, the tour confirmed that it matched the mark. In addition to Streelman, you’ve got Kevin Kisner, Kevin Tway, Kevin Yu, Kevin Daugherty, Kevin Aylwin and Kevin Roy. Cue Catherine O’Hara in “Home Alone”: “KEVIN!!!!!”

If you scroll through the slides, you’ll see a tweet from stats guru Justin Ray saying this tied the record from both the 2023 Fortinet Championship and 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. So this isn’t a new thing. There are lot of Kevins on the PGA Tour. (And perhaps someone should have thrown Kevin Stadler a sponsor invite this week to break the record…)

You’ll also see in another slide a funny “Seventh Kevin” poster, which only the people who get that previous “Home Alone” reference will understand.

Anyway, may the best Kevin win this week.
