Anthony Kim is back this week at LIV Golf’s Jeddah event in Saudi Arabia, and the golf nerds of the world are wondering: What is he using for clubs?
The last time golf fans saw Kim in competition, he was wearing Nike head-to-toe, and using the company’s clubs through the bag. But a lot can change in 12 years. Nike is out of the clubmaking business, and Kim is sporting LIV logos on his hat alongside a host of new tattoos on his arms.
His golf swing looks largely the same, but he’s sporting an entirely new set of clubs: Kim will compete in Jeddah without an equipment deal, but adopting Titleist through the bag.
Let’s break it down.
Ball: Titleist Pro V1
Kim tended towards the higher-spin end of the section (he finished inside the top third on tour in spin rate with his driver in 2008, the year of his last win). Kim adopted the Pro V1 after a stretch testing the Pro V1x, and found his spin more under control with the former.
Woods: TSR3 9.0 driver | Ventus Black 6 X TSR2+ 13.0 | Ventus TR Blue 7 X
In addition to a lower-spinning ball, Kim uses the lower-spin Ventus Black in his 9-degree TSR3 driver head.
He’s always had a tricky relationship with fairway woods. In his 2009 Golf Digest What’s in the Bag, he didn’t use any fairway woods. Apparently Kim’s TSR2+ after liking his friend’s version of the club.

Kim used a 2-iron in his prime, and followed with a set of forged blades from 3-PW. His moden set features a blended set with a graphite-shafted game improvement T200 iron at the top of his iron set, a T100 players iron in the 4-iron, and forged blades through the rest of this set.

The F-grind in Kim’s 50-degree wedge is designed for full swing shots. His high-bounce S-grind sand wedge paired with a low-bounce T-grind lob wedge is part of a growing trend on tour. One wedge for more standard chips, the other for digging out of sand or rough.
