An argument believed to have taken place at a Las Vegas golf course ended with one man hospitalised for a gunshot wound and another dead after he took his own life, according to multiple reports.

Henderson Police and Fire departments responded to calls on Sunday evening at a residence adjacent to The Legacy Golf Club, where they found a 52-year-old shooting victim, who was taken to a local hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.

A 51-year-old man suspected of shooting him was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.

Investigators say the two men were involved in a verbal dispute at the golf course on Sunday. No further details were released.

The Legacy Golf Club is located just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
