Last year, the US PGA Tour’s annual stop in New Orleans – the Zurich Classic of said city – broke ranks to a degree and implemented a pairs format. It was a great move and one made even greater from an Australian perspective when Cameron Smith teamed with Swede Jonas Blixt to take the title.
This year, the Zurich Classic is upping the ante by becoming the first US Tour event to provide walk-up music to its first tee. The news is now out:

The Aussie contingent on tour were quick to make musical suggestions. First up, Cameron Percy:
@GregChalmersPGA narrowed down to 2 songs for @Zurich_Classic . Collingwood theme song or l’m too sexy for this shirt.. your call though as captain

Greg Chalmers, whose sense of humour is vastly underrated, shot back:
It’s funny that you think you have any say in this. Our “team”is an Autocratic system. I’ll let you know if we are going with Spice Girls or Vanilla Ice. #stoptweetingandgohit5irons

The Steve Allan chimed in:
If I remember Camberley 1997 correctly, I’m betting on the Spice Girls!!

Next up, tour rookie and friend of Chalmers, Conrad Shindler:

This tournament just got a whole lot more interesting.
