THE Australian Masters is set to return to its home of Huntingdale, Melbourne’s the Herald Sun newspaper reports.

The event will be staged at Huntingdale for the first time since it left after the 2008 Masters. The Masters was staged at Huntingdale for three decades years before tournament officials decided to explore the other layouts of Melbourne’s famed Sandbelt region.

While the future of the Masters and the Perth International tournaments are still up in the air, it is believed Huntingdale has agreed to stage the Masters from November 19-22. The Australian Open would follow the week after.

South Australian Nick Cullen is defending the gold jacket, having held off a fast-finishing Adam Scott at Metropolitan Golf Club last year.
