Thursday marks the beginning of the 2026 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament, affectionately known as March Madness. Across America, people are scrambling to fill out their brackets and preparing their minds and bodies for a lovely spring weekend spent in front of the TV obsessing over the full-court press of the Osh Kosh Community College Battle Pugs. Before the hoops tipped off on Thursday however, Corey Conners—not exactly the type of dude to break your ankles on the hardcourt—got the party started early with a 145-yard slam-dunk eagle at Valspar Championship. LET THE MADNESS BEGIN!

But of course the insanity wasn’t done there. On the very next hole, Conners pulled up from 40 yards and chipped in for back-to-back eagle hole-outs. Behold.

Needless to say, the Canadian tour pro was hot from beyond the arc at Innisbrook on Thursday, sitting at five-under through 10 holes. Whether Conners will survive to reach the Final Four (pairings on Sunday, that is), remains to be seen, but at the very least it appears the World No. 40 will avoid the dreaded first-round upset.
