Golfers, they’ll try anything that they think works. Even the best players in the world.
Tony Finau was playing poorly late in the third round of the Memorial and decided to… putt one-handed. Yes, putt with one hand.

The 37th-ranked player in the world had made six bogeys after 14 holes and was five-over for the round. On the par-5 15th hole Finau was short-left of the green in two shots and pitched his ball to eight feet, nine inches, leaving himself that for birdie.

Television cameras showed Finau holding the putter with his right hand and his left hand resting on his left pants pocket. He then pulled the trigger and the ball rolled smoothly into the cup for a birdie 4. He even started walking towards the cup as the ball was a foot away.
Whatever works.
Finau parred the final three holes to shoot a four-over 76.
