Rory McIlroy found this out the hard way on Friday, when on the 14th hole the Northern Irishman hit a putt so bad that even the Rory McIlroy Tracker Twitter account went ahead and declared it the worst putt of his career. When your own tracker account isn’t finding a way to simp for you, you know you’ve messed up.Â

It’s an overused expression, but that was quite literally like watching a car crash. At first the putt doesn’t even look that bad, then you’re begging for it to slam on the brakes, then it’s a 12-car pileup as it rolls off the green. That camera angle did Rors dirty.Â
McIlroy went on to make double on the hole, but still managed to shoot a one-under 71.
