In golf, there may not be a more beautiful phrase than “tap-in eagle.” There may not be a more rare phrase either, unless you’re on the PGA Tour. Even if that’s the case, tap-in eagles don’t come around all that often.

That would explain why this dude wanted to finish it out. There’s no such thing as saying “that’s good” on an eagle putt. Don’t care if it’s from three feet away like this guy’s eagle look, or if it’s hanging on the edge of the hole. In order for an eagle to be an eagle, that ball better rattle the bottom of the cup.

Sadly, this guy’s ball did not. In fact, it never did, but it wasn’t for lack of effort.

No words. Absolutely zero words. How do you possibly recover from this? Personally, I think I’d hang up the spikes and clubs forever. There is no coming back.

P.S. Asking his mate to give him the bogey putt has to be the lowest point in this guy’s life. I’m not even trying to be mean. He’s just begging for scraps. Tough to watch. Praying for this dude.
