Padraig Harrington has been in the wars lately, which perhaps explains his latest swing change.
An inveterate swing tinkerer, the three-time Major winner turned heads during the first round of the Irish Open overnight for his Gary Player-esque (or, if you will, Happy Gilmore-esque) walk-on follow through to culminate his swing.
As the 45-year-old Irishman explained, it’s in an effort to get his right side to fully release, “because I’m not as young as the other guys”.

As commentator and former tour pro Tony Johnstone says, “He’s always trying something different.”
