While everyone is looking ahead to the 88th Masters, let’s stay focused on building out a successful card at the Valero Texas Open. Props, placements and head-to-head matchups are the best way to supplement your outright betting card. Those bigger hits only come once every six or seven weeks. To maintain a positive betting bottom line, get behind these bets at TPC San Antonio.

Take Corey Conners (-120) over Collin Morikawa -120 BetMGM)
Corey Conners has won the Valero Texas Open twice in the past four years. He’s coming in with two straight top 20s at the API and The Players. No player has gained more strokes on this property than Conners. Collin Morikawa has never played here before and is without a doubt having a shaky start to the season. The reliable iron player has lost strokes on approach in three of his past four starts. While Morikawa is 100 percent making moves to get ready for Magnolia Lane, grab Conners who loves to collect cowboy boots!
Last week, we cashed a ticket on Mac Hughes over Beau Hossler. Lydia Ko also gave us a bad beat when a player in the final group Sunday made birdie to bump her from the top 10!

Take Christiaan Bezuidenhout to finish inside the top 20 (+230 bet365)
I established at length how important wedge play from close range is this week. Christiaan Bezuidenhout is one of the best proximity players from under 100 yards. Overall, he’s ranked sixth in this solid field in SG/approach. C-Bez has been striking the ball beautifully, leading to a ninth-place at Valspar and a 13th at The Players, C-Bez. Combine his approach play with a sixth-ranked putting stroke and you can easily see why he makes great sense to top 20 at TPC San Antonio.
Take K.H. Lee to finish inside the top 40 (+140 FanDuel)
Fourth at the Cognizant Classic, ninth at the Valspar, and 31st in Houston, K.H. Lee has been performing well. Lee is a proven player at TPC San Antonio with two top-25 results in three starts. Twice a winner on TPC venues in Texas, Lee knows how to get it done in the Lone Star state. His recent success stems from great driving and a consistent putter—both great attributes on The Oaks course. K.H. is also capable of scoring from close range and saving par. Needless to say, he has enough skills in this field for a nice finish.
