FORMER amateur star Jon Rahm started his professional golf career with a share of the 36-hole lead in his first tournament at the Quicken Loans National.

The Arizona State product was an 11-time college tournament champion, but a US PGA Tour weekend lead can make anyone nervous. Rahm started losing shots to the right, then at the par-3 13th he hit a cold, hard shank.
