For the second time in a week, Adam Hadwin is going viral on Golf Twitter.

Just five days after being tackled by a security guard while trying to celebrate Nick Taylor’s win at the Canadian Open, the PGA Tour pro had another embarrassing moment. At least this one didn’t look as painful.

During the second round of the 2023 US Open, Hadwin, apparently disgusted by a bad shot, tossed one of his clubs into some bushes in a penalty area at Los Angeles Country Club. We know this because The Fried Egg’s Andy Johnson captured video of Hadwin wading—and climbing—deep into the brush to retrieve it. Thank you, Andy, because this is gold: https://twitter.com/andytfe/status/1669891796133089280?s=21

Talk about a walk of shame. Unfortunately, no one asked Adam about the incident after his round, but his wife and Golf Twitter star, Jessica, was alerted and had this to say:

Wow, that was surprisingly restrained and kind from Jessica, who got a real kick out of Adam getting laid out last week. And she makes a good point. Although we can’t imagine Hadwin ever making his caddie go fetch a club like that. He’s Canadian, after all.

Anyway, despite whatever struggles were happening at the time, Hadwin battled to make the cut on the number. And he’ll be in the second group off on Saturday morning with Jon Rahm, a man who slammed a club himself on Friday and almost snapped another over his leg on Thursday.

Sounds like a perfect pairing to have a couple extra cameras on, eh? Although, it’s going to be tough for Hadwin to keep topping himself.
