Coming off another long layoff and playing just his fourth event since winning the Masters in April, Woods looked out of sorts and frustrated in the opening round of the 148th Open Championship.
While Woods wasn’t technically there to meet Papadatos – or fellow Aussie debutant Jake McLeod or Kiwi Ryan Fox – some quick thinking from the 28-year-old ensured he made the most of the chance encounter.
