There’s a weird, wide world of golf content floating around the Internet, but what’s worth watching and what’s not? How do we separate the diamonds from the rough? Meet The Feed. Every Friday, we’ll recap and review the must-see golf videos of the week. From viral brands with millions of followers to DIY channels just getting their start, we’ll scroll for hours so you don’t have to. Who knows, with all the time you’ll save, you might even get the chance to play a little actual golf.
Bethpage Through Two Lenses
It’s said imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but sometimes an idea is too good to only do once. That’s the situation this week, with both St. Andre Golf and Bob Does Sports dropping different variations on the same Ryder Cup theme:
Average Joes getting beat to a pulp by Bethpage Black.
While the framework of both videos is roughly the same, the details are very different, and with each clocking in over an hour, you might find yourself wondering which to spend your precious screentime on. Let’s dig in and find out.
If you’re familiar with the Bob Does Sports’ brand, then you know what you’re getting: Bobby Fairways, Joey Cold Cuts and Fat Perez eating ill-advised breakfasts (in this case, a Buffalo chicken wrap) and then staggering through 18 holes while firing non-stop zingers from the hip. Most of the time, it’s hilarious and the camaraderie between the trio, even when competing against each other, remains special. There are moments, though, where you’ll wonder if this is some sort of ‘Speed’-style hostage scenario where the camera explodes if there’s five seconds of dead air. They even cut away for an ‘SNL’-style sketch at one point. The banter is RELENTLESS.
Buddy comedy is is the essence of Bob Does Sports’ bedrock, but unless you’re superfan—no shade, with 1.1 million followers, there are plenty of you—your patience may wear thin toward the end of the 70-minute runtime.

If BDS’ backslapping good time is perfect for kicking back with a beer after a long day of work, then St. Andre Golf’s episode ‘Bloodbath,’ starring OG golfluencer Paige Spiranac, is best with a cup of coffee for some morning ASMR. Both Spiranac and Aaron Chewning have a comfortable chemistry and are impressive sticks to boot. At the start, they set the goal of breaking 100 at the black course while PLAYING FROM THE TIPS (yes, even Paige). Without spoiling too much, those goalposts get moved a few times throughout the round as the pair feed off each and do an admirable job of managing the long and deceptive design. There’s less ratatat than Bob Does Sports, but if you still plan to scrub through the chit-chat, make sure to tune-in around the 35-minute mark when Paige Spiranac briefly discusses her least favorite part of the job. It’s a lot more twisted than you’re probably imagining. Trust us.
If you’re hoping to scout the Bethpage Black ahead of the Ryder Cup, Spiranac and Chewning provide the best look at the course and how to navigate its various threats and weaknesses. If you’re just looking for a greasy good time, however, no one does it better than Bob Does Sports. Either way, it feels like this town—YouTube, not Farmingdale—is still big enough for the both of them.

Finally, Ian Poulter and Tyrrell Hatton imagine what it might be like to assault American golf fans with a taser. I went a bit longer on this one here if you need a reminder why Poulter is one of the great Ryder Cup villains of our time.
