Summer is just about here. Across America, the sun is shining, schools are letting out and the greens are rolling pure. That means golf courses are suddenly backing up like the 405 at rush hour, and since human beings have an uncanny nack for getting on each other’s nerves, that means golf fight season is back in full swing.

This week we witnessed the first big viral dust-up of the season, where one golfer was seen seemingly trying to drown his adversary in a water hazard. It wasn’t a pretty scene, and we’re not trying to glamorize it, but the fact is this time of year, these videos start rolling in by the truckload, and few of us, principled though we may be, have the fortitude to look away. Love it or loathe, fights make for good TV.

Apparently, Bob Does Sports got the memo this week, steering into the wreck with the so-called “Greatest Crash Out in YouTube Golf History,” in which Joey Cold Cuts takes on a rogue’s gallery of frenemies in a match that gets muy caliente. Check it out.

We’d definitely stop short of calling that “The Greatest Crash Out in YouTube Golf History,” but the pot-stirrers at BDS weren’t done there. On Thursday, Robbie Berger posted a clip of an upcoming Hater’s Match (a series in which Joey takes on random Internet trolls in a trash-talk free-for-all), and let’s just say it’s as genuinely close to actual fisticuffs as we’ve seen on YouTube.

Them’s fightin’ words. Which raises the question: Is this the summer we see the first golf fight on YouTube? We’re not talking about an uploaded video of golf course fight from somewhere on the Internet, but an actual piece of YouTube golf content that spills over into chaos. To be clear, we’re not rooting for it, as good as it would be for site traffic, but golf can be an emotional game and emotions are not entirely within our control. Add to that the heightened stakes of made-for-YouTube golf content—money, bragging rights, the natural desire not to be publicly humiliated—and the only surprise is that it hasn’t happened yet.

Here’s hoping cooler heads prevail and the guys who don’t like each other (there’s gotta be a few) steer clear of one another. If it is to go down, however, our money’s on Joey D.

Quick Hits

Bryan Bros. / Grant Horvat

At this point, the Bryan Bros. and Grant Horvat may as well merge their channels. Seemingly every week, the trio of YGT founders can be found teeing it up together in some shape, form or fashion. This week, they bring their Three Musketeers roadshow to Sahalee Country Club, AKA “the tightest golf course on earth.” Sahalee hosted the 1998 U.S. Open, where the cut was +5 after two days, and the fellas (minus George, who pulls out with an oblique injury) see if they’re up to challenge of making the weekend. If you’re into cool courses and trees (lots and lots of trees), make sure to check parts one and two.

Henry Grillo Golf

After that lush Pacific Northwest sabbatical, Grant Horvat crashes back down to earth courtesy of Henry Grillo and the so-called “worst golf course in Florida.” Welcome back to the real world, Grant.

Brad Dalke

Big Bad Brad (can we call him that?) continues his quest to shoot 59 from every tee box on the course. It’s another nearly week for the Good Good Pro, who has stalled out around the 5500-6000 yard mark. Can he do it before Bob breaks 80? The race is on!

Luke Kwon

Not every YouTube golf video needs to reinvent the wheel. We’re all for YGT and LeBron James cameos, but sometimes all you need is a couple of buds and, uh, a couple of Buds. You’ll see what we mean.

Good Good Pros

The 2026 PGA Championship has come and gone, but don’t worry, the 2027 PGA Championship will be here before you can spell “Wanamaker.” This week, Brad Dalke and Sean Walsh give us a first look at PGA Frisco, which will make its major championship debut next May for the PGA Championship. If you’re already sizing up your bets for 2027, here’s your chance to do some all-important course recon. Enjoy, sickos.

Speaking of Good Good Pros, this week Sean Walsh plays the role of antagonist on Peter Finch’s channel. If Walsh and Finch squaring up at Kiawah sounds as good to you as it does to us, then don’t miss it.
