Well, it was fun while it lasted. And it lasted for a few years. We’re talking about the Brooks Koepka–Bryson DeChambeau feud, of course. The one that involved petty jabs about everything from slow play to abs and was highlighted by a made-for-TV match [pictured above] and an all-time eyeroll. Good times.

Of course, the rivalry had gotten much less intense during the past year with both joining LIV Golf. In fact, Brooks said they “squashed” their beef earlier this year and that they now talked frequently and had a “good open line of communication”. But golf fans still didn’t want to believe it.

Then the two were finally paired together at a major, during the third round of the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill. And they acted completely cordial towards each other. But again, golf fans still didn’t want to believe it. After all, maybe they were just putting on a show.

But overnight, we got more proof that Brooks and Bryson are totally cool with each other. And it came from the least likely place – Brooks’ Instagram. Check out the photo of the two golf stars that the five-time major champ shared:

Wow. Those are some big smiles. And is that Bryson’s hand around Brooks’ shoulder? And is Brooks even wearing a T-shirt highlighting the very phrase that had Bryson looking to get fans booted from PGA Tour events? You know, when these guys played on the PGA Tour?

This looks to be genuine. This isn’t some forced photo opp at the Ryder Cup. And these guys aren’t eligible for a PIP bonus so there isn’t a financial benefit to this. It appears they just wanted to take a fun photo together. What a wild turn of events. This is crazier than Woody and Buzz becoming friends at the end of the original “Toy Story”.

In any event, the Brooks–Bryson feud had a good run, but it’s officially dead. At least, for now. Fingers crossed there’s a sequel. You know, for the good of the game.
