Blades Brown shot an opening 70 at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Club Car Championship. What makes that score even more impressive is that there were people at the tournament who thought he showed up at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club to attend the children’s day camp.

Of course, golf fans in the know are aware of young Blades. The 17-year-old phenom turned pro earlier this year. And while this week marks his Korn Ferry Tour debut, he’s already made five PGA Tour starts, making the cut in two.

But, yes, he’s still very young. And if you don’t see him swinging a golf club, it might be easy to mistake him for someone who still has a full day of playing kickball and doing arts and crafts. Here’s how Blades described the funny situation.

“When I first got here, there was a kids camp going on at the front, and my mom, I wasn’t driving, obviously, but my mom went to go drop me off, and the lady was like, ‘Oh, drop off for the camp?'” Browns says in a clip shared by the Korn Ferry Tour. “And my mom was like, ‘He’s actually playing in the tournament.'”

Amazing. See the clip for yourself:

“But, I mean, I don’t mind it at all,” Brown continued. “I think it’s super cool to be known as the young guy, but all I know is this guy (pulling out a golf ball), he doesn’t care how old I am, so he doesn’t care if you’re 60 or 17 years old.”

Well said, Blades. Go get ’em this week. Hopefully, someone will give you a juice box and some orange slices after your round today.
