As preparations continue for the return of the PGA Tour next month in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, things have been contrastingly quiet on the other side of the Atlantic.
The PGA Tour announced on Friday (AEST) it will extend its exempt player membership into next season, meaning there will be no relegation or loss of status to those falling outside the FedEx Cup Top 125 at the end of the 2019-’20 campaign.
The PGA Tour announced its plans to resume the 2019-’20 season on June 11-14 at the Charles Schwab Challenge – without fans in attendance – while also unveiling a re-configured tournament schedule for the remainder of 2020 in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
