Justin Thomas is on the right path at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Friday’s six-under 64, his lowest round since March, allowed him to grab a share of the lead at 11-under 129 with Tommy Fleetwood and Ian Poulter.
Ian Poulter complained last month about partisan fans verbally abusing him at the US Open. Over the weekend, a marshal at the Scottish Open took the tour star to task for the same thing.
Fortunately for the viewers at home, there’s plenty of do-or-die matches that will provide plenty of drama and remove most of the confusing scenarios. The main event of course being Jordan Spieth (2-0) vs Patrick Reed (2-0).
