When it comes to PGA Tour bloopers, it’s going to be tough to top what Jon Rahm did on Thursday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational when the World No.1 defied the laws of physics by missing a 10-inch putt. But that doesn’t mean we’re letting Corey Conners off the hook for what he did in the same round.
According to shot tracker on PGA Tour.com, Rahm’s stub travelled one entire inch. The original putt was 10 inches, and he tapped in the nine-incher for a bogey at the par-3 seventh.
DeChambeau says he does not believe he has fully recovered from a pair of injuries to his left hand and his left hip that forced him to withdraw from the Saudi International in early February.
This week was also more evidence that the harder the course, the more brutal the conditions and the longer the rough, the better for Bryson DeChambeau.
Revered throughout the world of golf for not only the way he played but the daring and flair in which he did it, Palmer developed a special affinity with Australian golf.
It’s not even round one yet and you’re probably already tired of hearing about what Bryson DeChambeau “might” do on the 555-yard par-5 sixth hole at Bay Hill this week.
