Because Kim – more specifically, the legend of Anthony Kim – is the closest thing professional golf’s had to a folk hero, his possible emergence has many a golf fan on social media salivating at the prospect.
When it comes to one of golf’s favourite folk heroes, Anthony Kim, fans tend to jump on any news they can get. More than a decade since Kim last competed, in 2012, there have only been a handful of tangible updates from Kim since, only adding to the lore.
In its latest legal filing, LIV Golf is asking the PGA Tour for any communication tour officials have had with golfers, media companies, sponsors and other entities regarding the Saudi-backed circuit. And one of the names that has found its way into this mess has generated headlines.
Sadly, it’s been nearly eight years since Kim last teed it up in a PGA Tour event. But if anything could bring him back (he’s still only 34!), maybe it’s this song.
