Steve Stricker’s final approach shot on Sunday to win the Sanford International for a third consecutive year was brilliant. His post-round pose was even better.

First, the shot. On the fourth hole of sudden-death, Stricker found himself in a tricky spot after hooking his tee shot. But the 57-year-old would have the last laugh at Minnehaha Country Club after hooking this recovery shot off the flagstick to set up the winning birdie against Richard Green.

What a finish. Then he paid homage to someone else familiar with bank shots and three-peats: Michael Jordan. Have a look as Stricker recreated an iconic MJ pose, cigar and all:

Well played, Steve. That’s pretty badass.
And knowing MJ’s love of golf and the Ryder Cup, where he’s crossed paths with Stricker on numerous occasions, we’re guessing he’d get a kick out of that as well. Or, he’d be extra motivated to take some money off Steve the next time he sees him on a golf course.
