Depending on the golf course you play at, the rules and regulations of the clubhouse often spill out into the carpark – no changing your shoes on your bumper, no practice swings, no parking in the club pro’s spot, so on and so forth.
Skylinks at Buchanan Fields – a family-centric 9-hole track in Concord, California – is not one of those places, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a code of conduct to follow. Just ask one adulterous couple, who are currently on pins and needles after the California club threatened to release footage of the pair’s weekly backseat rendezvous in its carpark should the affair continue.

The warning posted to Skylinks Golf’s Instagram page on April 18th, 2025.
“We’re a family golf course – not some Jerry Springer family destruction zone. If it happens again, we’ll drop the footage and watch all hell break loose” is one heck of a mic drop. Of course, it’s only natural to be sceptical of a story like this in today’s Internet age, but Skylinks’ owner “Kiwi” (not exactly a confidence inspiring name, but still) assured Fox News this is all too real.
“We’re a small, community course in Concord — not a drive-thru hookup spot for cheaters. This isn’t the kind of hole-in-one we encourage.”
According to Kiwi, the morning maintenance crew first noticed the black and silver cars pulling in and parking in the far corner of the lot behind the recycling bins. The routine continued once a week until the club finally had enough, posting their ultimatum to Instagram. The post blew up in some unexpected, and unintended, ways.

“We started getting messages from people saying, ‘Hey, I think I know who this is. Send me the footage.’ Like, no! That’s not what we’re doing here,” Kiwi told Fox. “We’re not here to destroy people’s lives. We just want them to stop using our parking lot like it’s a poorly disguised drive-in.”
According to Kiwi, one man even called the course asking for details because his wife drives a black car.
Needless to say, the curiosity of the Concord locals was sufficiently piqued by Skylinks’ viral post, and for now that should be enough to stop this breach of golf carpark etiquette. If not, then this story is bound to get even juicier.
