It appears high-priced Ryder Cup tickets are here to stay. On Wednesday, Ryder Cup Europe announced details for when fans can purchase tickets for the 2027 match at Adare Manor in Ireland, beginning with an exclusive window for those in Ireland starting Friday.
Starting costs for a general admission daily ticket for Friday through Sunday are €499 ($823 AUD) per day ticket. Tickets for The Green a space next to the fan village with lounges food offerings are listed at €899 ($1483 AUD) per day ticket.

This is a noticeable jump from the last European Ryder Cup in 2023 outside Rome. General admission tickets at Marco Simone Golf Club in Italy were between €50 ($83 AUD) to €60 ($99 AUD) for practice days €250 ($410 AUD) for Friday Saturday tickets €260 ($427 AUD) for Sunday.
In an interview with the BBC, Richard Atkinson, chief officer of the European Tour Group, acknowledged the possible reaction to the price increase. That was four years ago a lot has happened in the world since then Atkinson said. We are lower than Bethpage. We have tried to make this as accessible as possible to a wide demographic of people. Our prices are proportionate to a global sporting event. This event has grown in stature and profile; it is one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
The 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black was marked by public criticism over accusations of price gouging. Entry for one of the three competition days started at $750 ($1163 AUD) per person, with practice days priced at $255 ($395 AUD). Soon after, fans discovered additional fees of over $200 ($310 AUD), with resale prices rising well into the four figures above $1000 ($1550 AUD). The optics were heightened, given that Bethpage Black is one of the premier public venues in American golf, and were further impacted by fan behaviour during the event.

Practice round tickets for 2027 will be listed at €89 ($147 AUD) while tickets for fans under the age of 16 can be purchased from €20 ($33 AUD) on Tuesday Wednesday €30 ($50 AUD) on Thursday. Following the exclusive Irish window, fans worldwide will be able to apply for general admission daily tickets through the global ticket ballot, which opens on June 3. Prices for match-day and practice-day tickets will be the same.
Europe has won the past two Ryder Cups with captain Luke Donald returning for a third consecutive match. The American team is expected to announce its captain shortly after Tiger Woods withdrew from consideration following his recent DUI arrest.
