Ryder Cup 2025: The crowd chanted ‘F–k you Rory!’ His response was perfect

FARMINGDALE, N.Y.v— How do you respond to a hostile crowd chanting expletives at you? Just ask Rory McIlroy. Rory’s been the center of the Bethpage crowd’s attention throughout the week. Among the heckles this week:

  • Jabs at his personal life
  • Chants of “a–hole”
  • Tormenting about “chokes”

On the first tee on Saturday morning, perhaps sensing the home team needed a boost, the fans were especially feisty.

After chants of “A–hole” and “F— you Rory” broke out among the crowd. But rather than get heated as he did at one point on Friday, Rory gave peace a chance. He put his hands to his lips, and blew the crowd multiple kisses.

Surely just the start of things to come between the away team and the crowd at the 2025 Ryder Cup.
