As the golf world braces for the return of Anthony Kim, it was another return this week that is much more likely to hit you right in the feels.

Days after becoming the first Ugandan to make the cut in a DP World Tour event at the Magical Kenya Open, Ronald Rugumayo returned to his home country as a conquering hero. And he received this amazing golf club salute at the airport:

Unfortunately, the camera cuts away before we get to see the 31-year-old golfer’s reaction, but how cool is that? And the welcoming party wasn’t finished.

The golfer nicknamed “Mayo”—below a couple people are even wearing “MAYO” hats!—was wrapped in the Ugandan flag and given a bottle of bubbly to celebrate while his supporters cheered him on. “I wasn’t expecting this,” a smiling Rugumayo says in the video:

Great stuff. And just like that, golf’s feel-good story of the year got even better. Go, Mayo, go.
