EIGHTEEN months after being kidnapped in Hawaii, Robert Allenby has been arrested outside an Illinois casino for disorderly conduct and trespass.

The 45-year-old missed the cut at the US PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic in Illinois and said was staying at the casino. He had dinner and played blackjack with other golfers and caddies at the casino tables, according to reports in newspaper USA Today.

But the Victorian native told USA Today: “I don’t know anything that’s going on, so you can say whatever you want”.

“There’s nothing to be said or done about,” Allenby said.

“Nothing happened.” When asked about the charges, Allenby replied: “I have no idea, mate. No idea”.

According to reports from the Australian Associated Press, Allenby was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning.

“Robert Allenby was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass from Jumer’s Casino on August 13th at about 2.29am,” a Rock Island County Police Department spokesperson told AAP. A Rock Island County Jail spokesman also said Allenby posted a $US1,500 ($A1,948) bond after spending less than an hour in custody before .

“He has been released,” the spokesman said.

“He posted bond.”
