Rickie Fowler has been a fan favorite on the PGA Tour since turning pro. On Saturday at the Players Championship, though, one fan clearly wasn’t one of his favorites.

A furious Fowler pointed at someone in the crowd and yelled, ‘You!’ after hitting his tee shot on the par-5 16th hole at TPC Sawgrass during Saturday’s third round.

What caused the normally cool-headed Fowler to react like that? According to Twitter’s Rickie Fowler Tracker, who shared the video, the fan didn’t have his phone silenced. Despite previously being asked to do so by Fowler’s caddie, Ricky Romano.

Anyway, have a look at the interaction:

Amazingly, despite being bothered by the incident, Fowler still managed to carry his drive 285 yards down the middle. However, he put his second shot in the water and made double bogey on his way to a disappointing 76.

Here’s a longer look at the situation, capped by one announcer saying, “Wow, I’ve never seen that out of Rickie”:

And here’s one more view:

Fowler didn’t speak to the media after his round, but he’ll be back for his (early) tee time on Sunday. Whether that fan will be back—or was allowed to remain on the property on Saturday after that—is unclear.
