It wasn’t quite what we saw at the Creator Classic on Wednesday, but a PGA Tour pro had his own tough moment on TPC Sawgrass’ famed 17th hole on Thursday.

Less than 24 hours after Barstool Sports’ Trent Ryan deposited four golf balls into the water around the island-green par 3, Max Greyserman lost a couple himself on the way to a disastrous score during Day 1 of the Players Championship.

Playing in his first Players, Greyserman gave us the first real train wreck of the week on Pete Dye’s most famous hole. Have a look as Greyserman comes up short on his tee shot, then goes long for his third. He then finds the front of the green with his fifth but after blowing his first putt past the hole, had to make an 11-footer for a quadruple-bogey seven:

Ouch. If it’s any consolation to Max, it won’t be the last disaster we see this week. And he still beat Trent by four shots on the hole. OK, so that definitely won’t be any consolation to him. Sorry, Max.
