Last week, the Ohio State Buckeyes won their ninth college football national championship, outlasting Notre Dame 34-23 in the first final of the 12-team playoff era. The victory concluded an incredible redemption arc for coach Ryan Day, who appeared to be on the ropes after another loss to Michigan in November, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing. After the game, Day and quarterback Will Howard were involved in a golf cart accident in the stadium tunnel when the woman driving the cart plowed into a wall, somehow managing to wedge the golf cart against the concrete surface a la Austin Powers.

The hilarious (and harmless) video went supernova, racking up over 15 million views. Day even told the story on ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.’ But that was the end of the saga. On Tuesday, Ohio State Men’s Golf Coach Jay Moseley got in on the fun, releasing a golf cart training video lampooning the now-infamous fender bender. Check it out.

First of all, our Ts and Ps go out to the poor woman behind the wheel. We hope that wherever she is, she’s taking this all in stride. Still though, this is good stuff from Moseley, who helpfully reminds the golf wheelmen and women of America about this little thing called “reverse.” He also pleads with those behind the wheel to remember their precious cargo before putting their foot to the floor.
“They’re humans too, just like you,“ Moseley says. “Coach Day is a really good tennis player who happens to wear a headset on Saturday, and Will Howard, he tripped running in the wide open midfield going for a touchdown. They’re normal everyday people. They got a lot of faith. They’re going to give you some grace. Remember: Reverse, don’t crash, stay safe, go Bucks.”
Wise words, coach.
