Nike is introducing its revolutionary Flyknit Chukka shoe to the golf world.
Rising to prominence at the Sochi Olympic games, the Flyknit’s success in sports functionality and street fashion enabled its transition to golf. Using an intuitive process aimed at condensing manufacturing waste and materials, the Chukka brings two benefits to the modern hacker. The first is a lighter construction, especially compared to the traditional heavy-weighted golf shoe. Yet, despite this decrease in weight, the Chukka manages to provide the support golfers are seeking in their footwear.
Moreover, while the golf shoe’s aesthetics mirror Chukka’s other models, the technology one expects to have on the sole is infused for traction and stability. A water and dew resistance coat is layered on as well.
The shoe has been worn by PGA Tour stars Patrick Rodgers and Jamie Lovemark. For the public, the Flyknit Chukka is available in two colors (black/white, blue/white for men; black/white and pink/white for women) and can be found on nike.com.
