Only a handful of PGA Tour events remain this year—four and counting—with the next two being played in Mexico. It begins with this week’s Mexico Open at VidantaWorld, followed promptly by the World Wide Technology Championship.
Vidanta Vallarta will play host to Tom Kim, playing on tour for the first time since winning a gold medal at the Asian Games in Japan earlier this month and securing an exemption from his country’s mandatory military service. TK has one PGA Tour win this year, at the Genesis Scottish Open, but hasn’t tried his luck in the fall. He’ll be joined by the highest-ranked golfer in the field, World No. 5 Wyndham Clark, as well as defending champ Brian Campbell, Ben Griffin and Aldrich Potgieter.
Lee Hodges is currently No. 100 on the FedEx Cup points list, this week’s bubble boy with the top 100 players at the end of the Fall finish earning full PGA Tour cards. He’ll be jockeying for position with Tony Finau (104), Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (101), A.J. Ewart (105), Rico Hoey (106), Max Greyserman (99), Chandler Phillips (98) and Taylor Pendrith (96). John Daly II also will be making his second start on tour in 2026, but his first as a professional. He played and made the cut(!) at the Puerto Rico Open, ultimately finishing T-37.
Luckiest break ever?!

Campbell won last year’s Mexico Open in a playoff with a surprising bounce off the trees to somehow stay in bounds during the second playoff hole. He eventually sank a four-footer for birdie and watched as Potgieter botched a slightly longer attempt. That was Campbell’s first win on tour, although he would go on to win the John Deere Classic less than five months later.
This week’s winner will receive a $1.08 million cut of the $6 million purse.
