On Saturday afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Aston Villa 4-0 to consolidate their bid for Champions League qualification over dreaded rivals Arsenal.

South Korean forward Heung-Min Son stole the headlines with his second Premier League hat trick, but the crucial victory wouldn’t have been possible without a pair of assists of star striker Harry Kane, including this piece of absolute wizardry. (Yes, we promise this is a story about golf, just hang in there).

As you may or may not be able to tell from that deft bump-and-run, Kane is a huge fan of the other beautiful game, and following the game – Spurs’ fourth-straight victory – he jetted across the Atlantic Ocean in the dead of the night to arrive at Augusta National in time for the final round on Sunday.

Kane joined an A-list athlete contingent at Augusta National this weekend, including American football star Josh Allen and Alabama head coach Nick Saban. Only one got to make their tournament pick live on Sky Sports, however …

From the sound of things, Kane is picking a Cam Smith comeback. That may seem far-fetched, but after a 1-0 loss to Burnley on February 23rd, Tottenham sat in eighth place, seven points back of fourth-place Manchester United in the final Champions League spot. Now they’re in fourth, six points ahead of United. If they can turn that around, then so can Cam.

UPDATE: Kane’s Cam Smith prediction didn’t quite come through. Still, it was worth a shot, like any hungry striker will tell you!
