LIV Golf announced the rest of its schedule for its 2025 season.
The league, which has released its itinerary in piecemeal fashion, unveiled all 14 events for its fourth year of existence. The four final stops announced for the Saudi-backed tour will be a return to the Blue Monster at Doral, two other former PGA Tour sites, and a resort outside Detroit.
LIV will begin its season in February in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, before visits to Adelaide, Hong Kong and Singapore. Trump Doral will be the first United States venue in early April. Doral was home to a PGA Tour event for 55 years and host of the WGC–Cadillac Championship from 2007 to 2016, but the tour ultimately moved the event to Mexico City. LIV has played at a property of Donald Trump’s every year since its inception, and will continue the trend as Trump returns to the United States presidency later this month.
Ironically, that Mexico City course, Club de Golf Chapultepec, has now been added to LIV’s schedule, and will follow Doral on LIV’s slate, to be played in late April.
The Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia, will be played the week before the US Open at Oakmont. The club had previously hosted four Presidents Cups, the 2015 Quicken Loans National and last year’s Solheim Cup. LIV’s final event, its team championship, will take place at the Cardinal at Saint John’s in Plymouth, Michigan.
Other notable stops include visits to Korea, Spain and the United Kingdom, along with trips to Indianapolis and Chicago.
The news comes as the sport awaits the potential announcement of a peace treaty between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf’s financial backer, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Several outlets have reported a deal is already in place and is waiting for the new Trump administration to take office before finalising, as US president-elect Trump’s Department of Justice may be more willing to pass a deal through antitrust regulations.
