Australia’s Karis Davidson has slipped right down the leaderboard at a rain-soaked Pine Beach Golf Links in South Korea after a horror third round.

Davidson, who shared the lead at the BMW Ladies Championship at the end of the opening day and was fourth going into the weekend, shot a 74 on Saturday to be tied for 19th ahead of the final round on Sunday.

After carding 66 and 68 to begin the LPGA tournament in Gwangju, the 28-year-old Aussie registered six bogies in her third round to be nine shots behind leader Haeran Ryu.

Grace Kim is now the best-placed Australian and has risen to be tied for 11th after posting a third-round 66.

Kim’s effort included seven birdies and just one bogey and followed a second-round 67 and a 73 on Thursday.

Cassie Porter shares 54th place with seven other players including fellow Australian Robyn Choi, while Minjee Lee is a shot back at even-par for the tournament and in a tie for 62nd.

Steady rain forced course officials to use roller squeegees to remove water from the greens. Most of the final groups took six hours to complete their rounds.

Hye-Jin Choi had an eagle and seven birdies on her first 11 holes on Saturday to shoot a 6-under 66 and move into tie for second place.

Second-round leader Ryu, who birdied her last three holes, still led the tournament by four strokes after a 4-under 68 and a three-round total of 17-under 199.

Choi shot 28 on her front nine and was 9-under before she bogeyed the par-5 12th after hitting into a fairway bunker. She made a double-bogey seven on the 17th after missing an eight-foot par putt after hitting into a hazard off the green with her fairway wood.

Minji Park shot 65 and was also tied for second with Choi and Yuri Yoshida (68).
