This fall, American golf fans will look to U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley to avenge the failures of Rome and lead the stars n’ stripes back to glory. On Sunday, however, a different demographic of golf fans had a reason to cheer for Vermont’s finest non-maple syrup export as he dunked the first ace of the week at TPC Sawgrass, bailing out an army of anytime hole-in-one bettors who were just beginning to lose hope. Check it out.

There have plenty of almosts and nearlies throughout the week. Alejandro Tosti and Collin Morikawa’s caddie JJ Jakovac both aced the 17th in practice rounds this week and Friday’s funnel pin on the island green produced plenty of close calls, but nothing official found the bottom of the cup. With the weather turning on the weekend, the odds of an ace became even more remote but thankfully Captain America, with the rain falling and the clock ticking, stepped up on the par-3 13th and sunk one for his country.
Needless to say, whatever happens at Bethpage Black this September, Bradley is already a hero in our book.
