WORLD No.2 Jordan Spieth will have another training base in 2016 when his Aussie coach Cameron McCormick begins his tenure as the director of instruction at Trinity Forest Golf Club, a new layout in Dallas opening later next year.

And McCormick is excited about working at the Bill Coore/Ben Crenshaw design, as you can tell from his Instagram account.

Following McCormick and Spieth’s return from Scotland after a runner-up finish at The Open championship, the pair and Crenshaw took a tour of the land to see how the course was shaping up.

The US PGA Tour has already requested the facility to host the AT&T Byron Nelson once the course is completed and matured.

“It’s an amazing opportunity for many reasons,” McCormick said. “A large part is all the people involved [with the facility], and the backing [it has] from the city of Dallas. There’s almost a civic responsibility that feels important and special.”
