It doesn’t matter what you’ve accomplished in golf, there are still bucket-list moments involving the game that would excite anyone. Such is the case if you’re ever lucky enough to play Cypress Point, arguably the best—and most spectacular—course on the planet.

Most of us normal hacks will never make it to the famed Pebble Beach track, having to settle for Golf Digest’s fantastic “Every Hole At” flyover video. But 2008 Masters champion Trevor Immelman finally did get to this magical place earlier in the week. And he got a nice bonus with his round.

Not only did Immelman play the iconic course, but he had member and CBS booth partner Jim Nantz there with him (the two are leading CBS’ coverage of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week). And as Nantz is known to do even when he’s not working, he provided a little play-by-play as Trevor took on the par-3 15th hole. Have a look and listen:

Great shot, Trevor. And great call, Jim. Love how he works the fictitious leaderboard in there amid various promos for CBS shows before signing off with a “Let’s go back over to 18.” Classic.

But seriously, a near-ace? At Cypress Point? With a broadcasting legend on the call? If Immelman didn’t have a green jacket, we’d say this would have to be the highlight of his golf career. It certainly would be tough to top for just about anyone else.
