This time, Akshay Bhatia and Thorbjorn Olesen share the lead heading into the final round of the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minn.
The field of 76 who made the cut is playing for the $8.4 million purse with the winner taking home $1.512 million. Bhatia is looking for his third PGA Tour title, admitting Saturday that this season has been mostly “demoralizing.” Olesen has won eight times in Europe but has not yet won in the United States.
Kurt Kitayama, who shot a third-round 60, Takumi Kanaya, Sam Stevens and Jake Knapp are tied for third place, only one shot off the lead.
Next week is the Wyndham Championship, which marks the end of the PGA Tour’s regular season.
