With one streak over, it’s time to start a new one. When World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul won last week in China she was the first repeat winner on the LPGA this season, the longest streak without someone winning twice in the history of the tour. Fitting that it was Thitikul who doubled up.
This week 78 players are at Pine Beach Golf Links in Korea for the BMW Ladies Championship, playing for $2.3 million with the winner taking home $345,000. Twenty of the 26 different winners this year and 16 of the top 25 players in the world are competing.
