After consecutive signature events on the West Coast, the tour is now back east to start the Florida Swing. Up first is the Cognizant Classic at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. The field is playing for a $9.6 million purse with the winner taking home $1.728 million for a victory.

The field is not as strong this year, stuck smack in the middle of so many events of bigger significance with bigger purses. The last two weeks the tour was at Pebble Beach and Riviera. The next two weeks it’ll be at Bay Hill and TPC Sawgrass. There’s just not enough room for everyone to get what they want.

Joe Highsmith is the defending champion, topping U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun and last week’s winner Jacob Bridgeman by two shots.

Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry, Max Homa and Billy Horschel are among the bigger names in the field. This is Koepka’s third tournament back since leaving LIV Golf as he’s not yet eligible to play in the signature events. Blades Brown, Camilo Villegas, Adam Hadwin and Harry Higgs are the sponsor exemptions.

Here’s the rundown of what each player will receive for making the cut. Check back here Sunday after play is complete for updates.
