Hannah Green returns to the LPGA Tour this week feeling refreshed after time at home in Perth, as she tees up at the Maybank Championship in Malaysia.
The world No.10 enjoyed a blistering start to 2026, claiming Australia’s two major trophies and two LPGA Tour victories before a midseason dip in form.

After a run of missed cuts and finishes outside contention, Green stepped away from competition at the end of August to spend time at home in Perth. She briefly returned for the Lotte Championship in Hawaii in early October before taking more time away from the course.
The 29-year-old will now look to go one better than her runner-up finish at last year’s Maybank Championship, where Japan’s Miyu Yamashita prevailed in a three-way playoff with Green and Hye-Jin Choi.
“I haven’t actually played much tournament golf in the past couple of months. I’ve been back in Australia resting and getting ready for this Asia Swing and obviously the final CME,” she said.
“Looking forward to coming back and playing. Malaysia almost feels like somewhat of a home event as it’s very close to Perth where I live in Australia, and also there are a lot of Australians that come up and watch.
“Had some really good results here the past couple years, so hopefully I can use that history and experience to perform well again this year.”

Green has a strong record at venues where she has previously tasted success, with three of her eight LPGA Tour victories coming at the JM Eagle LA Championship (2023, 2024 and 2026) and two at the HSBC Women’s World Championship (2024 and 2026).
“I tend to perform well at venues where I’ve had success before and perhaps I haven’t had the trophy in my hands, but I’ve had good results here,” she said.
Sitting 12th in the Race to CME Globe standings, Green has three events remaining before the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship and will be hoping her time at home has prepared her for a strong finish.
“I think having spent the past couple months back in Australia I’m in a really good head space,” she added. “I feel refreshed and ready to grind the next few weeks for the last few events that I’ll play for my season.”
She will be joined in Malaysia by fellow Australians Cassie Porter, Robyn Choi, Karis Davidson and Grace Kim, as well as New Zealand’s Lydia Ko.
