A scary situation at a Missouri golf course on Monday fortunately ended without anyone getting hurt. At least a dozen police cars responded to the report of a heated argument involving two men carrying guns at Springfield Golf and Country Club, according to the Springfield News-Leader.

It is unclear if either of the two men were playing golf at the time. Ozarksfirst.com reported one of the men came to the course armed to confront the other.

When police arrived at the scene, they found one of the men right away while the other was hiding on the course. To be safe, course management had all golfers on the course come into the clubhouse until the situation was resolved. Both men were eventually questioned, but only one was arrested.

Apparently, the two men were involved in an ongoing argument. Again, it’s unclear if this had anything to do with golf, but people have been known to get really worked up about questionable handicaps. (We can joke now because no one got hurt.)
