SPEAK to any golfer heading to China from Australia for a round or two, more often than not he or (more significantly) she will tell you they are on a mission – to Mission Hills, recognised by The Guinness Book of World Records as the “largest golf club in the world”.
Such is the magnitude of this multi-award winning golf and leisure resort that as many as twelve 18-hole courses are spread across 20 square kilometres, one of the challenging 72-par courses designed by former Aussie champ Greg Norman.

Mission Hills – located in the town of Guanlan in Shenzhen, between the cities of Shenzhen and Dongguan – is said to be the cradle of golf in China and hosts the region’s most important tournaments, including the World Cup of Golf and the Asian Amateur Championship.
