The 2026 Golf Australia National Order of Merit winners have been confirmed, with Tasmania’s Jonty Lunson and Victoria’s Jazy Roberts claiming the men’s and women’s titles, respectively.

The National Order of Merit rankings are determined by players’ best results across designated OOM events during the season, which ran from November 1, 2025 to October 31, 2026. More than 3,500 players competed across the various categories throughout the 12-month period.

Her other six wins came at the Dunes Medal, Port Phillip Open Amateur, Riversdale Cup, Bowra & O’Dea Women’s Classic, Royal Fremantle Amateur Open and South Australian Amateur.

Both Lunson and Roberts will have their names added to the Ross Herbert Trophies.

Junior Order of Merit

Western Australia’s Katie Seol claimed the Girls’ Order of Merit title after an impressive season featuring five victories. The 15-year-old’s wins came at the IJG Gosnells Junior Invitational, Victorian Junior Amateur, Golf WA Junior Masters, Victorian Junior Open and Drummond Golf 54-hole Junior Classic.

The Boys’ title went to fellow West Australian Nate Johnson, who won the Drummond Golf 54-hole Junior Classic and recorded four additional top-five finishes. The Joondalup Golf Club member notably finished runner-up at the Australian Boys’ Amateur Championship in April.

New South Wales Golf Club’s Gemma Dooley claimed the Senior Women’s title, recording victories at the ACT Senior Amateur, Northern Territory Amateur, Queensland Senior Amateur and South Australian Senior Order of Merit. She also finished fourth at the Australian Senior Amateur.

Harvey Golf Club’s Michael Lucas secured the Senior Men’s title with victory at the Senior Amateur Championships of WA, alongside three runner-up finishes throughout the season.

Inclusive Order of Merit

The 2026 season also marked the introduction of the Inclusive Order of Merit, contested across nine sports classes. The inaugural winners were:

  • Intellectual 1: Lochie Smith
  • Intellectual 2: Steven Alderson
  • Sitting 1: Stephen Lockey
  • Sitting 2: Jason Sheard
  • Standing 1: Christopher Perry

The Golf Australia Order of Merit allows players to track their performances against fellow competitors based on results at designated National OOM events. The rankings also contribute to qualification and exemption categories for various tournaments.

Events across each state are selected as OOM events, encouraging Australian golfers to compete locally and travel interstate to accumulate points throughout the season. Certain events also contribute towards players’ World Amateur Golf Ranking.
