The only thing Saudi Arabia loves more than golf is throwing stacks and stacks of cash at golf. The LIV Golf saga and its sums have been well documented and need no embellishment. Now comes the introduction of Gidori, a glittering, ultra-futuristic new golf resort from the mind (and pocketbook) of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud. Throw on that SPF 50, slacken that jaw and check it out.
In addition to looking like an alien ship in a Marvel movie, Gidori will be home to a variety of luxe golf amenities, from an 18-hole championship golf course to a full teaching academy. Part of Saudi Crown Prince MBS’ ambitious Neom development, Gidori will sit at the northern tip of Red Sea, lending the course stunning coastal views and plenty of windswept terrain to navigate.
But it’s not entirely about the golf. When you (or likely someone a lot richer than you) finish your round, you’ll be able to kick back in one of the resort’s many villas, retail shops or restaurants. No completion date for Gidori has been announced, but if the speed at which LIV has poached PGA Tour talent is any indication, you may as well book your flight now.
