Three people were lucky to escape injury after they were forced to make an emergency landing in a lake at Liverpool Golf Club in Lansdale, south-west Sydney today.

Emergency services are on the scene at the club’s 10th hole where the crash landing took place. Ambulance NSW staff confirmed none of the three people on board were injured.

“There were three blokes in a plane taking off from Bankstown Airport and I’ve heard the engine cut out,” says Liverpool Golf Club head professional, Brent Dale.

“The pro at Georges River Golf Club texted me and said he saw the plane take off and also heard it cut out.

“It actually happened right in the middle of the Thursday competition and it landed in the 10th dam. Luckily no one was injured from what I know.

“There are about five police offices that have roped off the area.”
