DryJoys Tour LTS, the latest innovation from FootJoy, features a completely new construction and fabric to reduce weight and improve mobility while still remaining 100 percent waterproof in all playing conditions.

The design and development team at FootJoy explored various ways of creating a golf jacket that was lightweight while still ensuring it was 100 percent waterproof. They focused on the construction of the jacket and explored ways of reducing weight and creating greater mobility. Where other jackets can have as many as 24 panels and 27 or more seams, the new LTS jacket has only five panels and six seams. Fewer panels and seams reduces weight and bulk while improving mobility and eliminating places for water to gather.

Preserving temperature regulating properties was the next objective of the FootJoy team. Partnering with ThermoLite to create a specially developed ThermoLite bonded liner using hollow core fibres made this possible. When conditions are cool, the hollow core fibres trap body heat inside the core and when conditions are warm, the fibres wick moisture and expel heat for optimum temperature regulation.

FootJoy focuses solely on the game of golf so in selecting a fabric for a new rain jacket required a material that was soft, quiet, flexible and waterproof. The all-new fabric utilised in DryJoys Tour LTS meets all of these requirements. Most notably, with the golf swing in mind, FootJoy has developed a three-layer bonded fabric, which boasts soft, comfortable and quiet attributes, as well as excellent four-way stretch that moves with you through the golf swing.

The new DryJoys Tour LTS jacket has been validated on tour by some of the top players in the world, including Rafa Cabrera Bello, Jimmy Walker (above) and Australia’s Andrew Dodt. In addition, FootJoy tested the product features in the harshest conditions of a remote golf destination where players were challenged with cold, windy and wet weather.

Available via Australian and FootJoy stockists for $399.95 (jacket) and $319.95 (rain pant). Click here to view the Australian product range.
