The next chapter of classic golf footwear has arrived.
FootJoy has unveiled an updated Premiere Series for 2026, refreshing one of its most recognisable golf shoes while keeping the traditional style that’s made it a favourite among tour players.
Despite the rise of sportier golf footwear, the Premiere Series continues to dominate at the elite level. According to FootJoy, the shoe accounts for roughly 40 per cent of footwear worn on the PGA Tour.
The new lineup introduces updated versions of the Packard and Marquis models for men, along with the Packard for women.
“We’ve listened closely to feedback from our Tour players and elite amateurs, identifying key areas where we could elevate performance,” said Patrick Trubiano, director of product management for FootJoy footwear.
“As the number one shoe in golf, we have a responsibility to continually raise the standard. The new Premiere Series delivers the classic silhouette golfers expect—built better and reinvented with performance that truly delivers.”

A new outsole designed for grip
The headline change for 2026 is the introduction of ARCTrax outsole technology, which rolls out across the entire Premiere lineup.
In simple terms, it’s designed to help golfers stay planted through the swing. The outsole features an anti-channelling design and concentric traction zones to maintain grip and flexibility, particularly when conditions aren’t perfect.
FootJoy hasn’t made too many changes to the look, but there are some comfort tweaks worth noting.
The shoes use full-grain leather uppers and feature a padded OrthoLite TruFit tongue, plus additional collar padding designed to help keep your foot locked in place and reduce fatigue if you’re walking the course.
So while they still look like something straight out of golf’s golden era, they’re built with the expectations of modern players in mind.
